GAIA transforms satellite imagery, weather, historical records, and field observations
into actionable recommendations for irrigation, bloom timing, yield forecasting, and
orchard management.
What sets GAIA apart is phenology
— we track each block's growth stages, so every decision follows your trees' real biological
timing, not the calendar.
Satellite monitoring
Irrigation guidance
Bloom prediction
Yield forecasting
Weather integration

Contact Pomarium
Pomarium is a managed service, not a sign-up-and-go app. Before you can log in,
we set you up — get in touch and we build your grower-specific orchard information structure and
database: every block mapped with its varieties, rootstock and soil, plus years of satellite and
weather history, tuned to how you farm. From day one you work from results, not spreadsheets. Accounts
are then provisioned by Pomarium.
Pomarium — Latin for an orchard. Gaia(γαῖα / Gê) — Earth, in Greek.
GAIA is our Grower Adaptive Intelligence Assistant.
Our mission
Help growers understand, adapt to, and care for the living earth that sustains every orchard.
What we do
Pomarium turns satellite imagery, weather and your own ground-truth into practical
decisions — irrigation, bloom timing, yield forecasting and orchard monitoring — grounded in
peer-reviewed science and built alongside growers, not instead of them.

User manuals
Every GAIA tool has an in-app user manual — available once you're logged in.
The science & data
GAIA's models are peer-reviewed (a collaboration with UC Davis & ARO-Volcani).
Data sources: Google Earth Engine · Sentinel-2 (ESA) · TerraClimate · GRIDMET / CHIRPS / ERA5-Land · OpenLandMap.

What Pomarium provides
Pomarium is a managed orchard-intelligence service. We build and maintain a
living data record for every block you grow — satellite imagery, weather and your own ground-truth —
and turn it into the decisions below. We set it up and keep it current, so you work from results,
not spreadsheets.
What you get
A managed data layer — every block mapped, with 5+ years of satellite & weather history, kept current for you.
Decision tools (GAIA) — irrigation, monitoring, yield and bloom, all from the same data.
Done for you — we set up and maintain your orchard's data structure; no spreadsheets to wrangle.
Available tools
GAIA|PI — Proactive Irrigation
Satellite irrigation scheduling → a weekly sprinkler plan. Two climate builds: GAIA|PI-AMT (arid, Mediterranean & temperate) and GAIA|PI-TM (tropical & monsoon).
GAIA|SI — Site Information
Live satellite maps of your blocks + a 90-day / 5-year history of the main physiological indices, for block-to-block comparison.
GAIA|YP — Yield Prediction
In-season per-block yield + a within-field yield-distribution map and printable report (almond today; more crops to follow).
GAIA|PBD — Predictive Bloom Date
Winter chill accumulation + bloom-date prediction to time frost protection and bee ordering (almond, walnut, pistachio).
Orchard data management
Map blocks, record varieties, rootstock and soil, and log yields — the shared record every tool reads. Always free.
Accounts are provisioned by Pomarium —

Research & data
GAIA's decision models are peer-reviewed — and they get better with
use. The depth and breadth of what we can offer scales directly with the number of active
growers on the platform, because a larger, active community is the only way we gain access to
the real orchard data that validates and extends the science.
Your data stays yours
Every grower's information is kept strictly confidential — never shared,
never exposed. In aggregated, anonymized form, though, it becomes the engine for continual
model improvement and for expanding to more species and new decision tools.
A virtuous circle
More active growers → more (confidential) ground-truth → better, better-validated
models → decision tools for more crops and regions. Joining Pomarium isn't only about using the
tools — it's helping build the science that serves every orchard.
